Neurotoxins Help Reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

Facial muscles can cause fine lines and wrinkles. BOTOX® temporarily relaxes these muscles and eases tension. Repetitive facial movements cause laugh lines, smile lines, frown lines, and crow's feet. Early signs of aging are also caused by smoking, sun damage, and genetics. These lines deepen over time and make you look older than you are.

Neurotoxins:

Neurotoxins, such as botulinum toxin type A, are injectable substances that temporarily relax the muscles responsible for causing wrinkles and lines. The most well-known brand of neurotoxin is Botox®. Neurotoxins are primarily used to reduce the appearance of dynamic wrinkles—wrinkles that are caused by repetitive muscle movements, such as frown lines and crow's feet.

Neurotoxins work by blocking the signals between the nerves and muscles. This prevents the muscle contractions that contribute to the formation of wrinkles. The effects of neurotoxin injections typically last for a few months before gradually wearing off.

Neurotoxins are commonly used to smooth out wrinkles and lines on the forehead, between the eyebrows (glabellar lines), and around the eyes (crow's feet). They can also be used for other medical purposes, such as treating excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) and certain muscle disorders.

The choice between dermal fillers and neurotoxins depends on the specific concerns and goals of the individual seeking treatment, and often, a combination of both may be used for optimal results. It is important to consult with one of our qualified medical professionals who can assess your needs and provide personalized recommendations.

Dermal Fillers - Help your skin retain youthful fullness and radiance

Injectable hyaluronic acid solutions, known as dermal fillers, are used to add fullness to lips, enhance cheek volume, smooth out lines, and contour the face. They draw moisture into the skin's tissues to plump and ease out wrinkles. The appropriate amount and solution are customized based on the area needing rejuvenation.

Dermal Fillers vs. Neurotoxins: What's The Difference?

Dermal fillers and neurotoxins are both commonly used in cosmetic treatments to enhance one's appearance, but they serve different purposes and work in different ways.

Dermal Fillers:

Dermal fillers are injectable substances that can help restore volume, contour, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and folds on the skin. Typically, they are used to target signs of aging such as facial volume loss, lines, and wrinkles. Some common dermal fillers include hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers, calcium hydroxylapatite (CaHA) fillers, and poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA) fillers.

Dermal fillers work by physically filling in the targeted area. The injected material adds volume and plumps up the skin, reducing the appearance of wrinkles and enhancing facial features. Different types of dermal fillers have varying durations of effectiveness, ranging from several months to a couple of years.

Dermal fillers are commonly used to treat areas such as nasolabial folds (smile lines), marionette lines, hollowed cheeks, thin lips, and facial scars. They can also be used to enhance facial features like the lips, chin, and cheeks.
